I work with nonprofits at every stage of their communications journey.
Below are a few examples of my work as a strategist, copywriter, and developer. Click here for a full list of my services and skills.
The Fund for Public Health in NYC
FPHNYC had completed a rebranding process a few years prior to my joining the organization, but their website still wasn’t meeting their needs. I led the development of a new site that weathered a massive increase in traffic due to COVID, and created a communications strategic plan that led to a 170% increase in online donations within one year.
The National Center for Youth Law
I originally joined the National Center for Youth Law as a web editor for one of their sites. I ended up redesigning and rebuilding three, marrying my knowledge of technology and health advocacy to update and streamline their content to make it more accessible to readers ranging from teenagers curious about their rights, to lawyers looking for information on how to advocate for youth health.
San Francisco Court Appointed Special Advocates
SFCASA’s website was nearly a decade old, and no longer supported the needs of staff. I led the process of completely rebuilding the site from scratch, transitioning from a Drupal site to Squarespace and integrating both our donor management database and donation processing systems. These changes led to to a 110% increase in online engagement and significantly freed up program staff time so they could focus more on serving clients.
“When tasked with updating our website, Nora took it upon herself to interview staff, determine organizational needs and ultimately decide to create an all-new site. She led the project from start to finish, taking input from internal and external stakeholders and even doing some A/B testing when a consultant suggested some changes. We continue to get compliments on the site she designed.”
